The machine is made up of particular hammers in special steel mounted on a sturdy rotor; by turning quickly, they push the material onto the fixed counter knives, grinding it and making it come out of the holes in the grid. The grid is easily replaceable and can have holes with different sizes, allowing to obtain the desired grain size of the sawdust.
